MELISSA YUNKER
Vice President People and Culture
Mel comes to XNG with over 20 years experience and as a dynamic, field focused, process-driven HR and operations professional with a passion for training, mentoring and developing people in a culture of ownership and recognition. Prior to joining XNG, Mel worked as Senior HR Director of Field Operations for Thorntons, a large successful Mid-West Fuel and Convenience Store chain with ~3500 employees across six States and an in-house logistics team with ~100 fuel delivery trucks and drivers. Working in collaboration with Operations Leaders Mel, built & executed a People Plan centered around a Talent System: Selection, Performance Management, Development and Rewards; anchored in a Culture of Ownership & Recognition. Mel's professional brand reflects a strong commitment to the Field and Team Member, Customer, Shareholder and Community experience.
